Mechanical Technician-Security Clearance Eligibility Required

AVT Simulation is seeking a motivated Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic team in Oviedo, FL. As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our advanced simulation equipment used for training purposes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a collaborative environment.
Must be US citizen to acquire security clearanceThis is not a remote position.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks Fabricate, Assemble, and install mechanical components and systems according to engineering drawings and specifications. Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of simulation equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement timely repairs to minimize downtime. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to identify opportunities for equipment improvement and enhancement. Document all production order activities including quality control steps. Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications accurately and comprehensively. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment at all times. QualificationsMinimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; college degree not required. Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or technical environment. Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in equipment fabrication and assembly. Maintenance and repair experience a plus but not required. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics. Ability to use hand and power tools effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules. Prior experience with simulation equipment or military systems is a plus, but not required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.
