SERVICE MECHANIC
position. Under general supervision the Service Mechanic performs semi-skilled and skilled mechanical work in fueling, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of gasoline and diesel motor vehicles and heavy equipment for the Public Works Department. The position involves physical labor and work is completed in the Public Works Maintenance Shop as well as field located job sites.Minimum Training and Experience:
Graduation from a standard high school or equivalent Florida Class "B" CDL Driver's License Preferred 1-2 years experience as an automotive mechanic; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Special Physical Requirement:
Must be physically able to bend/stoop, reach above shoulder level, kneel, balance, push, pull, crouch, squat, lift and carry 75-100 poundsBenefits
