Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Heavy Equipment Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing regular maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on a variety of heavy machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with heavy equipment, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventative maintenance on heavy equipment Conduct regular inspections to identify wear, defects, and potential breakdowns before they occur. Service and lubricate machines, change fluids, filters, belts, and other components. Diagnose minor mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and perform light repairs. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs performed. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safe operation of equipment. Work closely with operators and other maintenance personnel to ensure equipment is functioning optimally. Report any major mechanical issues to the Service Manager. Maintain a clean and organized work truck, adhering to company safety and environmental policies. Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and veterans.
