Heavy Equipment Fleet Mechanic Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, performs preventive maintenance services and inspects, diagnoses and repairs vehicles and equipment accurately all phases of vehicle and equipment including the repair of brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches, hydraulics and other repairs. Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately. Maintain records of all maintenance work completed including parts and supplies used. Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times. Interpret and utilizes information from operating, maintenance, and service manuals, as well as utilizing computer diagnostics. Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns. Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Assist with preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections. Perform other responsibilities as requested or required.
