Position Overview We are seeking a motivated Mechanic Assistant / Junior Mechanic to join our fleet and equipment maintenance team. This role is ideal for someone with basic mechanical experience who is eager to grow their skills and build a long-term career in a fast-paced construction environment. You will work directly under our lead mechanics to service and repair company vehicles, small engines, and heavy construction equipment. Responsibilities Assist in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing trucks, trailers, skid steers, forklifts, and other construction equipment Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire repairs, and lubrication Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Track and document completed work using company procedures Retrieve tools, parts, and supplies as needed Learn and follow safety protocols and equipment operation best practices Support emergency on-site repairs when needed Qualifications Basic mechanical knowledge or hands-on experience (professional or hobbyist) Familiarity with tools and equipment commonly used in automotive or equipment repair Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to follow directions and work both independently and as part of a team Reliable transportation and punctuality Valid driver's license (CDL a plus but not required) Preferred but Not Required Experience working on diesel engines, hydraulics, or small construction equipment Welding or fabrication experience Previous work in construction, automotive, or equipment repair settings What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Hands-on training and opportunities for advancement 100% company-paid employee health insurance Supportive, family-oriented work environment Long-term career growth with a rapidly expanding company Apply through
