Job Description

Position summary Performs inspection, diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment, construction equipment, diesel-powered assets, special-purpose vehicles, attachments, and MRAP variants. Essential duties Repair engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, cooling, and fuel systems. Perform scheduled inspections, unscheduled repairs, TCTOs, one-time inspections, service bulletins, recalls, and warranty actions. Complete road tests, operational checks, incoming inspections, and final serviceability checks. Respond to mobile maintenance calls and support disabled equipment within required response times. Record labor, parts, findings, delayed work, and maintenance actions accurately on work orders. Support fabrication, body and structural repairs, equipment preparation for shipment or storage, and corrosion-control identification. Maintain tools, work areas, environmental controls, and safe work practices. Minimum requirements Current ASE certification in a medium or heavy truck specialty, or at least three cumulative years of medium or heavy-duty vehicle maintenance experience. Experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical diagnosis, brakes, drivetrains, and construction equipment. Ability to use diagnostic equipment, technical manuals, and Air Force maintenance forms after training. Valid driver license and the proper CDL for any Government vehicle operated. Ability to obtain base access and complete all required training. Must provide ASE documentation or detailed proof of qualifying experience with the proposal.
Pay:
$27.90 - $28.90 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have access to military base property? Experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical diagnosis, brakes, drivetrains, and construction equipment. Valid driver license and the proper CDL for any Government vehicle operated. Current ASE certification in a medium or heavy truck specialty, or at least three cumulative years of medium or heavy-duty vehicle maintenance experience.
