Job Description

Position summary Leads shop production and performs advanced maintenance on heavy equipment, construction equipment, diesel vehicles, attachments, and MRAP variants. Serves as Alternate On-Site Lead. Essential duties Assign work to mechanics and the mobile equipment servicer and monitor completion against mission priorities. Diagnose and repair engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, brakes, steering, suspension, drivetrains, hydraulics, and attachments. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, TCTOs, recalls, modifications, fabrication, and mobile repairs. Review completed repairs and work orders before equipment is returned to service. Coordinate advanced MRAP repairs with approved Field Service Representatives when organic capability is unavailable. Control tools, technical publications, hazardous materials, shop safety, parts usage, and delayed-maintenance follow-up. Assume On-Site Lead authority when the Program Manager is unavailable. Minimum requirements Current ASE certification in a medium or heavy truck specialty, or at least three cumulative years of medium or heavy-duty vehicle maintenance experience. At least five years of heavy equipment or diesel repair experience, with lead or foreman experience preferred. Ability to read technical orders, schematics, maintenance manuals, and diagnostic information. Valid driver license. Proper CDL is required before operating a Government vehicle that requires one. Ability to obtain installation access and complete required safety, OPSEC, information assurance, HAZMAT, and facility training. Must provide ASE documentation or detailed proof of qualifying experience with the proposal. Pay:
$27.90 - $29.90 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have access to military base property? Valid driver license. Proper CDL is required before operating a Government vehicle that requires one. At least five years of heavy equipment or diesel repair experience, with lead or foreman experience preferred. ASE certification in a medium or heavy truck specialty, or at least three cumulative years of medium or heavy-duty vehicle maintenance experience.
