Job Description
Job Description DCR Crane, LLC is looking for a skilled Technician to maintain and repair cranes and tractor/trailers. Applicants must be willing to work overtime and travel up to 50% of the time. Pay is dependent upon skills and experience. Responsibilities Understands and follows alignment procedures for aligning shafts, couplings or other similar items Troubleshoots hydraulic system on mobile cranes Submits proper documentation for ordering material and parts Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments Must have a knowledge and ability to properly adjust and repair crane brake systems Test operates cranes to verify proper operations Understands industry safe work practices Repairs electro-mechanical equipment if needed Repairs and maintains cranes, vertical transportation equipment (VTE) such as lifts, and trackage, and elevators using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments Able to plan and schedule work and resources, ordering parts and report Qualifications Ability to perform task independently without direct supervision Safe work habits and history Willingness to travel to various job sites A minimum 1 to 3 years of experience as a Crane Mechanic/Technician Demonstrate competency in the diagnosis, repair and troubleshooting of various mobile cranes Experience in preventative maintenance (oil changes) and light equipment repair (break jobs)
