Job Title:
Landscape Mechanic / Small Engine Technician Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Landscape Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair commercial landscape equipment, with a strong focus on 2-cycle and small engine repair. This role supports our field operations by ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for daily use. Salary $19-$23 per hour Key Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain 2-cycle engines (trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, hedge trimmers, etc.) Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on commercial landscape equipment, including mowers and small engines Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently Maintain accurate service and repair records Coordinate repairs to minimize equipment downtime Operate company vehicles to transport equipment as needed Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience repairing small engines and commercial landscape equipment Strong knowledge of 2-cycle engine repair Experience with commercial-grade landscape equipment preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for at least 3 consecutive years Must be eligible to work in the United States Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong attention to detail and safety Basic knowledge of preventative maintenance programs Experience in a commercial landscape environment Benefits Health Insurance Dental and Vision 401K Life Insurance Long Term / Short Term Disability Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work in outdoor conditions and a shop environment Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods Work Environment Combination of shop and outdoor work Exposure to noise, fumes, and mechanical equipment
