Transmissions Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Mechanic to join our team. The primary roles of this job will be to carry out both shop and field repairs of material handling equipment, having a strong focus on forklifts. This job requires troubleshooting skills, diagnostic skills, the ability to work independently in different locations, and mechanical knowledge of material handling equipment. All technicians drive their service vehicle to and from work.
Responsibilities:
Perform Scheduled Maintenance:
Conduct routine preventative maintenance on a variety of material handling equipment, with a strong emphasis on forklifts Inspect and service engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other critical components.
Perform Repair Activities:
Confidently perform repairs on material handling equipment, including man lifts, forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, etc. Equipment worked on will include electrics, I/C gasoline, I/C liquid propane, and I/C diesel.
Troubleshoot and Diagnose:
Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues affecting the performance of various material handling equipment. Implement corrective actions to address identified problems. Experience using diagnostic software for equipment.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts replacement. Provide detailed reports on the condition of each piece of equipment and recommended actions for improvements.

Parts Management:
Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts and supplies within the service vehicle.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and guidelines. Conduct regular safety inspections on equipment to identify and address potential hazards.
Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
At least 3 years experience in most of the above responsibilities. Familiarity with various material handling equipment models and their components, as well as common issues and repair procedures.
Technical Skills:
Deep understanding of I/C and electric material handling equipment. Proficient in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Communication Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to interact professionally with customers and other team members.
Problem-Solving:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in diverse environments.
Physical Fitness:
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks. Comfort working in various weather conditions.
Driver's License:
Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to travel to different locations as needed. We are looking for people who are motivated and are looking to grow within our company.
