Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a vital member of our operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy equipment, including industrial machinery, forklifts, and tractor-trailers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and a passion for working with their hands.Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including trucks, trailers, and industrial machinery
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems
- Use hand tools and specialized equipment to complete tasks efficiently and safely
- Ensure all work is done to the highest standards, following safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines
- Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and meet customer needs
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and industry developments, participating in ongoing training and professional development
Skills:
- Experience in diesel engine repair and heavy equipment maintenance
- Strong knowledge of automotive and industrial equipment repair
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic shop equipment
- Familiarity with air brake systems and ability to diagnose and repair issues
- Ability to work on tractor-trailers and other large vehicles
- Experience in a dealership or similar setting
- Knowledge of transmission systems and ability to diagnose and repair issues
- Ability to transmit mechanical information to other team members
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

$38.00- $50.
