Job Description

Job Overview Local construction company is looking for a dependable and experienced Shop Mechanic to join our team. The Shop Mechanic will help maintain and repair company vehicles, tools, and construction equipment to keep our crews working safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, takes pride in quality work, and can diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues. Experience working on construction or heavy equipment is highly preferred. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles, tools, and equipment Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues Perform oil changes, brake repairs, and general mechanical repairs Inspect vehicles and equipment and identify maintenance or repair needs Perform preventative maintenance to help keep equipment operating safely and efficiently Diagnose basic equipment problems and determine necessary repairs Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Monitor and maintain inventory of shop supplies, parts, fluids, filters, and other materials Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs Assist with other shop and equipment-related duties as needed Requirements 3-5 years of mechanical experience required Strong knowledge of general vehicle maintenance and repair Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Reliable and dependable with consistent attendance Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Must be able to pass required drug and alcohol testing Valid driver's license Pay Position starting at $30-35/hr based on knowledge and experience. Potential for a pay increase following a 90-day performance review Additional earning potential for employees with a valid
Class A or Class B CDL Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
