Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and construction equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, bulldozers, loaders, and other construction machinery using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and schematics. Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, hydraulic system servicing, brake repairs, tire service, and suspension adjustments to maximize equipment lifespan. Troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, HVAC systems, air brakes, and diesel engines utilizing advanced electrical diagnostics and automotive diagnostics tools. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding and fabrication techniques to address specific repair needs or improve equipment functionality. Assemble and disassemble complex machinery components with hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety standards. Inspect equipment for signs of wear or damage; perform heavy lifting safely during repairs or component replacements. Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety regulations and OEM specifications. Experience Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic with dealership experience preferred. Extensive knowledge of construction machinery maintenance, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and farm machinery. Strong background in electrical systems diagnostics and automotive repair techniques related to heavy equipment. Skilled in the use of schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues. Hands-on experience with welding, fabrication, alignment procedures, tire service, HVAC systems, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, transmissions, diesel engine repair, and general vehicle maintenance. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is advantageous for understanding operational issues during repairs. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately while following safety protocols diligently. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs.
