In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range trucks and trailers. Your expertise will help keep our fleet operational, minimize downtime, and support the efficient movement of goods across various sectors. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics passionate about heavy equipment and vehicle systems to showcase their skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on commercial vehicles including trucks AND trailers, . Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and air brake systems. Conduct repairs on transmissions, suspensions, shocks & struts, brakes and HVAC systems to ensure vehicle safety and reliability. Fabricate parts or modify existing components using welding and hand tools to meet specific repair needs or improve equipment performance. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all repairs performed in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Assist in the assembly or disassembly of vehicle components during major repairs or rebuilds while adhering to safety standards. Use power tools and diagnostic equipment effectively to expedite repairs while maintaining quality workmanship. Experience Proven experience or extensive background in heavy equipment mechanics. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems repair and diesel engine diagnostics. Familiarity with schematics for transmissions, suspension systems, and vehicle electrical wiring. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during repairs. Mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools.
