Recommended Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or equivalent (Associates Degree preferred for Senior Mechanic) and completion of 1-2 years technical education and or training and the repair and maintenance of automobiles and equipment supplemented by 4-5 years experience troubleshooting and repairing with heavy or light diesel and gasoline powered vehicles, or any equipment combination of training and experience in accordance with the essential functions of the job. Possession of a valid Massachusetts Class B CDL License with air brake and tanker endorsement; possession of Massachusetts Class 1B and 2B Hoisting License. Senior Mechanic has more specific requirements as listed in the job description. This is an hourly paid union position with excellent pay, benefits and municipal pension system.Anticipated hiring range:
Mechanic is \$32.858- \$48.459 per hour (\$68,344.64
- \$100,794.72 if annualized) DOQ; full Career Range up to \$100,794.72. Senior Mechanic is \$34.288
- \$50.625 per hour (\$71,319.04
