Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Machinery Mechanic and become the backbone of our equipment maintenance and repair operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy industrial equipment, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Your expertise will ensure that all machinery operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to support our operational goals. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on heavy machinery using schematics, OEM manuals, and automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension components, and electrical systems across various equipment types. Conduct fabrication tasks such as welding, soldering, and assembly to modify or restore machinery components as needed. Execute preventive maintenance routines including tire service, alignment adjustments, fluid changes, and brake repairs to minimize downtime. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely during repair procedures or testing phases. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for disassembly, repair, and reassembly of complex machinery parts. Maintain detailed service records and logs of repairs performed to ensure compliance with safety standards and OEM specifications. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment or industrial machinery; dealership experience is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, electrical wiring, and suspension components. Ability to read schematics, OEM manuals, and technical diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; experience with assembly and equipment repair is essential. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts or similar machinery is a plus. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and vehicle maintenance procedures. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation; able to communicate technical information clearly. Physical ability for heavy lifting, working at heights or in confined spaces; commitment to safety protocols at all times.
