Job Description
Position comes with take home service truck for on call and on site needs, so must have valid drivers license. Excavation business with heavy equipment, tri-axles, and service trucks. Your responsibilities will vary from repairs, sourcing and ordering of parts, keeping track of repairs/maintenances, tracking equipment from site to site, welding and fabricating when needed, keeping service truck and tools in clean and functioning order, oil changes on company vehicles, and repairing small hand tools like, cut-off saw, chain saws, pumps (big and small), and generators (big and small) Performs master level diagnosis and repair on all heavy equipment, commercial trucks and miscellaneous equipment reducing the need for outsourcing to third party vendors Work closely with the Project Managers to efficiently and effectively keep equipment in good working condition and prioritize repairs in a manner to keep operations running Complete records for repairs and maintenance performed on all equipment and vehicle Able to perform welding on equipment, and metal fabrication when necessary Able to train mechanics and co-workers in the proper care of assigned equipment and mechanical operation of equipment and vehicle Able to keep service truck and tools in clean working order Able to keep shop in clean workable manner and keep track of small hand tool, and equipment
