Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Yarmouth, ME. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, expertise in diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, and a commitment to ensuring equipment is in optimal working condition.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment, including inspections, oil changes, and lubrication. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on a variety of heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and trucks. Conduct thorough inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems. Collaborate with other team members to prioritize and complete repair jobs efficiently. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed. Ensure all safety protocols and guidelines are followed during maintenance and repair activities. Stay informed about new technologies and advancements in heavy equipment mechanics.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Physical strength and stamina to lift and maneuver heavy parts and equipment. Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
