Pay:

$25-$31 per hour, depending on experience Kinnie Transportation Group is looking for an experienced Heavy-Duty Trailer Mechanic to join our maintenance team. You'll inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial trailers to keep our fleet safe and road-ready. This is a hands-on role for someone comfortable with repairs beyond routine preventive maintenance. You'll work closely with another mechanic on a steady variety of trailer repairs. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair trailer brake, wheel-end, suspension, air, and electrical systems. Repair or replace components such as drums, slack adjusters, S-cams, chambers, wheel seals, bearings, hubs, air bags, shocks, and bushings. Weld, fabricate, and repair trailer damage and structural components. Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections. Identify needed repairs and complete work safely and efficiently. Document repairs and parts used, and keep the work area organized. Qualifications Experience repairing commercial trailers, heavy-duty trucks, or similar equipment. Working knowledge of trailer brakes, suspension, air systems, wheel ends, and electrical systems. Ability to diagnose problems and determine appropriate repairs. Welding and fabrication experience preferred. Ability to work effectively with a maintenance partner and communicate clearly. Valid driver's license, reliable attendance, and a strong work ethic.

Physical requirements:
