• 24 per hour, depending on experience Southern Fence Group is a commercial fence contractor based in the Charlotte area.

We work primarily with general contractors on commercial and industrial projects throughout the Carolinas and Southeast. We are looking for a dependable person to provide field support for our commercial construction projects. Most days will involve a mix of material pickups and deliveries, jobsite support, organizing materials and equipment, helping with field measurements and layouts, and taking care of smaller punch-list, warranty, or repair items. This is not just a delivery position. We are looking for someone who wants to learn the construction business, become more valuable to the company over time, and take on additional responsibility as they gain experience. What You'll Do Pick up materials from vendors and distributors Deliver materials, tools and equipment to jobsites Load and unload trucks and trailers Receive and check incoming material Stage and organize materials for upcoming projects Help maintain the company yard and warehouse Move equipment between jobsites Assist with field measurements and small project layouts Help with punch-list and warranty work Perform small fence repairs and installations when needed Assist crews and subcontractors with project needs Take jobsite photos and document field conditions Help identify missing materials or upcoming project needs Keep company trucks, trailers, tools and equipment organized Communicate with Project Managers throughout the day about completed work and upcoming needs This is a hands-on position and requires the ability to lift and move construction materials, load and unload trucks and trailers, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. What We're Looking For Construction experience is helpful but not required Fence experience is a plus Dependable and punctual Able to work independently Comfortable working outdoors and on active construction sites Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Comfortable driving a pickup truck Trailer-towing experience preferred Equipment experience is a plus Comfortable using basic hand and power tools Willing to learn and take on more responsibility There is room to grow in this position for someone who proves they are reliable, takes initiative and wants to learn the business.
