The Opportunity
SKT MOBILE TECHNICIAN II
The Koch Trucking Mobile Technician II performs intermediate-level diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on tractors and trailers. You will handle more complex tasks than a Mobile Technician I and ensure all work meets Koch Companies and DOT standards. This is a mobile role requiring travel to various customer and company sites for on-site service.

This is a mobile role requiring travel to various customer and company sites for on-site service. Work performed outdoors from a mobile service truck in all weather conditions
DOT Compliance:
Conduct inspections and repairs to meet state and federal DOT standards
Liftgate Maintenance:
Replace hydraulic cylinders, perform electrical diagnostics and wiring repairs, and conduct fluid changes
Reefer Units:
Perform routine maintenance (e.g., filter changes, battery checks) and replace basic electronic components such as sensors and alternators
Trailer Repairs:
Conduct roll door repairs (e.g., track and hinge adjustments) and inspect and repair landing gear
Electrical Systems:
Read and interpret fault codes, troubleshoot and replace ABS sensors
Welding and Fabrication:
Perform minor steel repairs and practice basic aluminum welding techniques
Advanced Diagnostics and Repairs:
Troubleshoot CEL (Check Engine Light) issues, perform intermediate brake system repairs (e.g., shoes, pads, drums), diagnose suspension issues (e.g., shock absorbers), and replace injectors in field-accessible environments. What you bring to the team High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years of tractor maintenance experience Ability to independently complete advanced repairs Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety Ability to lift and move up to 50+ lbs regularly
• 3+ years of experience in advanced diagnostics and repairs Associates degree (AAS) in Heavy Duty Truck Technology, Diesel Mechanics, or related Valid CDL A or CDL B license preferred
