About the Role Binderholz Enfield is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced mechanic who is skilled in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of heavy equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring the continued reliability and performance of our machinery, which is essential for the operation of our plant. Shift Schedule Day Shift 5:45 AM to 6:15 PM - 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off (alternating weekly)

What You'll Do Equipment Knowledge:

Proven experience servicing heavy machinery like log loaders, wheel loaders, forklifts, debarkers, conveyor systems, and diesel industrial power units.

Core Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in diagnosing and repairing high-pressure hydraulic systems, cylinders, valves, and heavy-duty powertrains.

Shop Capabilities:

Skilled in mechanical troubleshooting, welding, and fabrication to repair or reinforce equipment components directly in the shop.

Tools & Safety:

Ownership of standard mechanic's hand tools and a strict safety-first mindset suited for a high-risk, moving-machinery sawmill environment. ✅ What We're Looking For High School Diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications preferred. 5+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Strong hands-on experience with heavy machinery and diesel engines. Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and in a high-noise environment. Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform essential physical tasks, including walking, bending, and climbing stairs. Strong computer literacy for managing machine control systems and software updates. Must have a valid driver's license and be dependable. Preferred Qualities High School Diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications preferred. 5+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
