Category Service / Technician Type FT Non-Union (FTN) Overview Milton Rents is hiring Heavy Equipment Road/Field Mechanic to support a modern, well-maintained fleet of construction rental equipment. This role is ideal for technicians with experience in diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, preventive maintenance, and equipment repair. Technicians work in a professional, team-oriented environment and collaborate daily with yard personnel, drivers, counter staff, and branch managers. You'll service late-model equipment and play a key role in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently. Pay Rate:
$36.00 - $38.00 per hour Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance (individual & family coverage)

Supportive team culture focused on safety, quality, and communication Responsibilities Heavy Equipment Repair Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and mechanical repairs on rental construction equipment
Travel to job sites for on-site maintenance, service and repairs
Deliver exceptional customer service through positive, solutionfocused interactions.
Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
Use diagnostic software, gauges, and specialized tools to identify equipment issues
Test-run equipment to verify repairs and ensure operational safety
Train and mentor technicians Documentation & Teamwork Complete work orders, service reports, and maintenance records accurately and on time
Support shop and customer workflow and assist other technicians as needed Qualifications Hands-on experience as a diesel/heavy equipment mechanic, rental, construction or fleet mechanic.
High school diploma, trade school certificate or equivalent experience.
Strong diagnostic skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Valid driver's license and ability to operate vehicles safely
Personal set of professional-grade mechanic's tools
