This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining tools, equipment, and machinery while ensuring everything is operating safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of equipment. This individual will play an important role in keeping tools and machinery in reliable working condition, minimizing downtime, and helping extend the life of company equipment. Will become part of a Union after probation with excellent benefits!
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect tools and equipment to identify worn, damaged, or defective components. Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues. Read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and technical information. Disassemble equipment, replace faulty parts, adjust components, and complete necessary repairs. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, and machinery. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, labor time, and inventory. Assist with general warehouse operations, including receiving deliveries, pulling inventory, and preparing company-owned trucks for deliveries. Safely operate a forklift as needed. Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work environment. Welding knowledge and experience would be a strong plus .
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability. Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and small-engine components. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality. Ability to identify problems and determine effective repair solutions. Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team. Comfortable standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and handling heavy equipment. Forklift experience is a plus. Welding skills are a plus
Pay:
$20.00 - $21.00 per hour
