Job Description

We are searching for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our fleet of equipment is properly and safely maintained and repaired. The ability to work unsupervised in a safe, professional, and skilled manner is of great importance. Job Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mostly heavy equipment, along with trucks and small equipment. Perform routine maintenance. Inspect equipment and proactively recommend pre-failure repairs. Perform lifting required to work on heavy equipment. Travel between jobsite as needed. Develop parts list, repair procedure, and timetable for repairs. Effectively communicate cause of failure and repair status to manager. Document work and repairs done. Read and understand manufacturer schematics and repairs manuals. Ability to work independently and solve problems. Maintain inventory of necessary fluids, tools, and parts on service truck or at shop. Job Requirements Must have own tools Must be able to listen and follow directions accurately Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions. Welding Skills preferred. Familiar with testing/diagnostics equipment for hydraulics and electrical, CAT ET preferred. Work overtime as needed.

Experience:
Mechanical knowledge: 5 years (Preferred)
Heavy Equipment Mechanic:
3 years (Required)
License/Certification:
Driver's License (Required) Security clearance: Confidential (Preferred) Willingness to travel: 75% (Required)
