Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanic 1 to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and vehicle systems. Duties Conduct inspections and diagnose issues on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery using schematics and diagnostic tools Perform repairs on mechanical systems including transmissions, hydraulics, suspension components, brakes, shocks & struts, and electrical systems Maintain and service vehicle systems for trucks, trailers, and automotive repair needs using hand tools and power tools Assist with fabrication tasks such as welding and assembly to support equipment repair projects Perform routine maintenance including tire service, alignment checks, air brake inspections, and HVAC system servicing Utilize heavy equipment operation skills to assist in lifting or moving large components safely during repairs Document all work performed accurately in maintenance logs and follow safety protocols diligently Qualifications Proven experience working as a mechanic with a focus on heavy equipment or vehicle repair Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive electrical systems, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and diesel engines Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers Ability for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and vehicle systems for truck drivers or fleet vehicles Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks Join our team to be part of an energetic environment where your skills directly impact operational success!
