Location:

Canton, NY, US, 13617 Purpose of Position Provide support to equipment engineering staff for project execution and day-to-day operational needs. Works under the supervision of engineering staff but can execute simple projects independently. Day to

Day Responsibilities:

Collaborate daily with engineering team members as well as union trades and operators to address equipment breakdowns. Interacts with vendors and plant contacts to purchase equipment for repair related items. Interpret high-level technical documentation including equipment layouts, SOPs, and mechanical schematics. Execute simple equipment repair or improvement projects on a wide variety of plant equipment including pumps, grinders, CNCs, forming equipment, furnaces, and other general facility related equipment.

Required Education and Experience:

Associate's degree in mechanical, or related field. Experience in lieu of education is an option for this position. Minimum 5 years of mechanical, hands-on experience Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to apply across a wide range of applications. High level of organization US Citizenship required

Desired Education and Experience:

Experience with AutoCad, Solidworks, or similar CAD software Experience with MS Office, Project & SharePoint

Hours:

Typically, 7 AM•3:30 PM Monday•Friday.
