In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, diesel and gas pickup and box trucks vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with a passion for hands-on work, technical problem-solving, and continuous learning in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform detailed diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators & skid steers using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, and fluid replacements to maximize equipment lifespan. Repair and overhaul transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air brake systems, HVAC units, and diesel engines with precision. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding equipment and hand tools to meet specific repair requirements. Operate heavy machinery safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols. Interpret technical schematics and mechanical diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems effectively. Ensure all repairs meet industry standards and manufacturer specifications for safety and quality assurance. Experience Proven experience as a mechanic with a strong background in vehicle operation and repair. Dealership experience is highly preferred, especially Ford and Chevrolet. Hands-on expertise in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance for trucks and trailers, and industrial equipment repair. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and metalworking to create or modify parts. Knowledge of electrical systems repair including automotive electrical systems and vehicle system diagnostics. Familiarity with schematics interpretation for hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working on large machinery or vehicles.
