Telematics-Driven Equipment Repair Specialist Do you enjoy turning data into decisive action in the field? Can you move from a diagnostic screen to a diesel powerpack without missing a beat? In this role, you'll combine advanced technology with seasoned mechanical know-how to restore heavy equipment fast. Imagine this Your tablet pings with a new work order. With a few taps, you assign tasks, confirm parts availability, and check service intervals. Live feeds from mixed fleets—spanning hundreds of brands and models—point you to the likely fault. You head to the site, verify the issue, and execute the fix, documenting everything before rolling to the next call. Core responsibilities Work safely at all times; follow best practices for equipment repairs. Use laptops/tablets to create, assign, and monitor work orders and to keep daily, thorough electronic records. Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems for both rental and customer-owned units, applying independent judgment. Share knowledge and help train less-experienced technicians. Support pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts. Travel on demand for on-site service; keep a clean, professional service vehicle. Harness real-time data and telematics across numerous makes/models to rapidly determine root causes and corrective actions. Work with an understanding of OSHA requirements (preferred).
