We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Outdoor Power Equipment Mechanic to join our dealership team and service lawn mowers, generators, snow throwers and 2 cycle /hand held equipment . In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency. Your expertise will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our operations, supporting our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on various equipment including lawn equipment, engines, generators, and hand held equipment. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and mechanical inspections to prevent breakdowns. Repair electrical systems, including wiring, soldering connections, and troubleshooting electrical faults with precision. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently. Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to identify issues accurately and implement effective solutions. Perform heavy lifting and mechanical work safely while adhering to all safety protocols. Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service tasks and support customer service initiatives. Diagnose complex problems in outdoor power equipment repair scenarios involving Exmark, Cub Cadet, Stihl, Toro or other equipment. Assist in sales activities by providing technical advice on equipment maintenance needs when required. Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in outdoor power equipment repair and maintenance. Extensive knowledge of air cooled engine repair, 2 cycle and or held troubleshooting. Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams. Skilled in electrical work including soldering, wiring repairs, and electrical troubleshooting. Mechanical knowledge of equipment maintenance procedures across various equipment types. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques (including MIG/TIG welding), and soldering processes. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
