The Crane Mechanic plays a direct role in minimizing downtime, maintaining equipment readiness, and ensuring every unit meets strict safety and performance standards. What You'll Do Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems on a diverse crane fleet (all-terrain, rough terrain, crawler, and boom trucks) Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and major component repairs to ensure uptime and safety Troubleshoot complex equipment issues in both shop and field environments Complete all maintenance documentation immediately following work performed with accuracy and detail Identify potential issues proactively and address them before failure occurs Follow all company safety standards and manufacturer guidelines Collaborate with operators, supervisors, and field teams to keep equipment job-ready What You Need to Succeed Hands-on experience as a mechanic working on cranes Strong understanding of hydraulic, diesel, and electrical systems Ability to diagnose and resolve issues independently Willingness to learn and develop skills across multiple crane types and systems Strong attention to detail with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset Ability to follow direction while contributing technical insight when needed NCCCO certification is a plus, but not required Fleet Overview Our fleet includes Liebherr all-terrain cranes from 110 to 750 tons, Tadano rough-terrain cranes up to 160 tons, and Link-Belt hydraulic truck cranes commonly used in oilfield and industrial work. We also operate large lattice boom crawler cranes such as the Liebherr LR1500, LR1600, and LR1700, along with Manitex boom trucks and other specialty units.
