• 1099 Contractor Purposeful Property Management is looking for a reliable, experienced Handyman / Maintenance Technician to assist with maintenance and repairs at residential rental properties throughout the Oklahoma City metro area.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position . We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and can handle a variety of residential maintenance and repair tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities Work may include:

General handyman repairs and maintenance Minor plumbing repairs Minor electrical repairs Drywall repair and patching Interior and exterior painting/touch-ups Door, lock, and hardware repairs Faucet, toilet, and fixture replacement Garbage disposal replacement Appliance troubleshooting and minor repairs Blind and window covering installation Caulking and weatherproofing Fence and gate repairs Make-ready and turnover work Troubleshooting general maintenance issues Other residential property repairs as needed What We're Looking For The ideal contractor is: Experienced in residential maintenance or handyman work Dependable and able to work independently Professional when communicating with residents and our property management team Able to troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate repairs Comfortable using a smartphone and mobile apps Able to provide photos and documentation of completed work Organized and responsive when receiving new work orders Able to schedule maintenance directly with residents when needed Requirements Must have reliable transportation Must have a valid driver's license Must have a smartphone Must have basic tools necessary to complete common residential repairs Must be able to travel throughout the Oklahoma City metro Must be able to communicate and schedule work in a timely manner Must be willing to complete work orders through our property management software Previous handyman, construction, property maintenance, or similar experience preferred How the Position Works All maintenance work orders are managed through Property Management Software . Contractors receive work orders electronically and are expected to: Accept assigned work orders Contact the resident and schedule the job promptly Keep the work order updated with the scheduled date Complete the repair professionally Upload before/after or completion photos Document labor performed and materials used Submit invoices and receipts for completed work This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys variety, can manage their own schedule, and wants consistent opportunities for residential maintenance work.
