In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, replacing worn seals or rods, and rebuilding hydraulic cylinders to meet manufacturer specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of machinery, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver top-notch service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic system issues on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery using schematics and technical manuals. Perform repairs and maintenance on hydraulic components, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and hoses, ensuring all systems meet safety standards. Fabricate custom parts or modify existing components using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific operational needs. Maintain detailed service records, complete repair reports, and document all work performed for accountability and future reference. Support the team with heavy lifting tasks and keeping shop area clean. Load and unload customers when they are dropping off or picking up their equipment. Experience Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Hydraulic Technician with dealership or industrial repair background preferred. Hands-on experience working with excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other heavy machinery. Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex hydraulic and mechanical systems. Familiarity with welding techniques such as soldering and metal fabrication is a plus. Ability to operate power tools safely while performing maintenance or repairs on heavy equipment. Excellent customer service skills combined with a proactive approach to equipment maintenance and repair tasks. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma required; technical or vocational certification in hydraulics or mechanical technology preferred.

Experience:

2 to 5 years of hand-on experience repairing hydraulic components or heavy equipment preferred.

Mechanical Skills:

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, or schematics. Ability to lift heavy parts, use hand tools, and work in an industrial shop environment.
