This is a great opportunity for a mechanic with 1-2 years of hands-on experience who wants to expand their skills into diesel, fleet, and heavy equipment maintenance. Diesel experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong mechanical foundation and a desire to learn. You'll be responsible for maintaining company vehicles and equipment, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and building your skills in fleet and diesel repair. Your responsibilities will include:

Perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes, filters, brakes, tires, and fluid checks Troubleshoot engines, transmissions, suspension, and electrical systems Support diesel engine repairs and maintenance Learn and apply FMCSA and DOT requirements Use basic diagnostic tools and mechanical repair procedures Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation Keep the shop, tools, and work areas clean and organized Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safety-first mindset Communicate effectively with mechanics, supervisors, and other team members Respond to offsite repair or maintenance needs when necessary Continue developing skills in diesel and heavy equipment maintenance

What We're Looking For Required:

High school diploma or GED 1-2 years of mechanical experience in automotive, equipment, fleet, or general mechanical work Basic understanding of mechanical repair and diagnostic procedures Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn

Preferred:

Diesel mechanic experience or exposure Technical or vocational training CDL Small engine repair experience Experience working with heavy equipment Familiarity with diagnostic tools Don't have diesel experience? Most work will take place in our shop or on the surrounding grounds, with occasional offsite work as needed.

You should be comfortable with:

Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Standing, bending, kneeling, and working in various positions for extended periods Working in varying temperatures and shop conditions Reporting to job sites with limited notice when needed Working safely in a fast-paced mechanical environment Safety-Sensitive Position This is a safety-sensitive position.
