Mechanic Position Summary As our Mechanic, you will independently perform maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair activities on pumps, diesel engines, frac tanks, and other rental equipment. You will serve as a key contributor to equipment reliability while supporting branch productivity and customer satisfaction. Your Mission Equipment Diagnosis & Repair
- Diagnose mechanical failures and equipment deficiencies.
- Repair diesel-powered pumps and related equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, fuel, cooling, and electrical systems.
- Conduct operational testing to verify repairs. Field Service Support
- Respond to customer service calls as assigned.
- Evaluate equipment performance in the field.
- Complete repair documentation and communicate findings. Equipment Reliability
- Inspect equipment coming off rent.
- Identify recurring maintenance issues.
- Recommend repairs and maintenance plans.
- Assist with fleet readiness initiatives. Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with Yard Technicians and Branch Leadership.
- Participate in safety programs and operational initiatives. What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2-4 years of mechanical experience in diesel engines, industrial maintenance, automotive repair, heavy equipment, pumps, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or related mechanical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and repair equipment with limited supervision.
- Working knowledge of diesel engines, pumps, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, and electrical components.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.
- Experience responding to field service calls preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- DOT Medical Certification required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 45 pounds independently and participate in team lifting procedures when required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in varying weather and jobsite conditions.
- Ability to safely work around heavy equipment, moving machinery, and industrial environment
Pay:
$23.50 - $34.00 per hour
