Heavy Equipment Mechanic Posted on September 26, 2025 September 26, 2025 by JMJ Phillip We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy machinery and related equipment. This role is critical in ensuring operational reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe and efficient performance of equipment in the field and shop environments. Position Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & Repair Perform routine maintenance and scheduled services on heavy equipment. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Complete timely repairs to minimize operational downtime. Troubleshooting & Diagnostics Utilize diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify equipment problems. Recommend and implement effective repair solutions. Ensure repairs meet safety and operational standards. Parts & Inventory Management Order and replace parts as needed for repairs and preventive maintenance. Maintain accurate service and repair records. Safety & Compliance Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Conduct inspections to ensure equipment meets safety and performance requirements. Prerequisites Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, technician, or similar role. Strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems. Ability to read technical manuals and use diagnostic equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required) ASE Certification in Heavy Equipment or Diesel Mechanics. OSHA safety certifications. CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
