This position is ideal for an experienced technician with a strong background in Altec bucket trucks and equipment, Ford heavy-duty trucks, hydraulics, electrical systems, and fleet maintenance . The mechanic will primarily support field operations throughout the Charlotte territory but must be flexible to assist UPA mechanics in other service areas and report to our Greer, SC headquarters when needed. What You'll Do Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain company vehicles and field equipment Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled fleet services Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and equipment-related issues Service and repair Altec bucket trucks and related equipment Service and repair Ford heavy-duty trucks Perform inspections and repairs necessary to maintain safe, reliable equipment Support DOT compliance and required vehicle inspections Respond to field equipment issues and assist operations with minimizing equipment downtime Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records Coordinate with Fleet and Operations regarding vehicle and equipment needs Travel within the assigned territory and assist other UPA service areas when needed Report to UPA headquarters in Greer, SC as operationally necessary What We're Looking For Experienced A-Class / senior-level mechanic or technician Strong experience working with Altec bucket trucks, aerial equipment, or similar utility equipment Strong experience with Ford heavy-duty trucks Demonstrated diagnostic and troubleshooting ability Experience with hydraulic systems Experience with automotive/truck electrical systems Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and DOT requirements Ability to independently diagnose problems and complete repairs Ability to safely operate and work around commercial vehicles and heavy equipment Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability and willingness to travel within the territory as business needs require Preferred Experience Altec equipment troubleshooting and repair Bucket truck/aerial lift maintenance Ford Super Duty or similar heavy-duty fleet experience Utility, construction, or commercial fleet maintenance DOT inspection and compliance experience Hydraulic and electrical diagnostics Why Join UPA?
