Mike's Towing & Recovery Inc. is looking for an experienced and dependable Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic to join our team. This is a hands-on position working on heavy-duty trucks, tractor-trailers, trailers, and other commercial vehicles both in our shop and in the field. Job Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and trailers Perform mechanical, electrical, brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain repairs Troubleshoot diesel engine and vehicle performance issues Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and general service work Complete roadside and mobile repairs on disabled commercial vehicles Repair air lines, brake systems, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and other truck systems Perform trailer repairs, including lighting, doors, landing gear, lift gates, and other components Assist with heavy-duty towing and recovery operations when needed Maintain a clean and safe work environment Properly document repairs and communicate issues and recommended repairs to customers and management Qualifications Previous experience working on heavy-duty trucks, diesel equipment, or tractor-trailers preferred Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Own basic hand tools Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to roadside emergencies Welding/fabrication experience is a plus CDL and/or relevant certifications are a plus, but not required What We're Looking For We want someone who takes pride in their work, shows up ready to work, and understands the importance of getting commercial vehicles repaired safely and efficiently.
