Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of heavy trucks, equipment, and vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience in diesel engine repair, vehicle maintenance, and mechanical systems repair. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle systems, welding, automotive electrical systems, and heavy equipment mechanics. The Fleet Mechanic will ensure our fleet operates efficiently and safely through routine maintenance and timely repairs. Duties Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines, heavy trucks, and other fleet vehicles. Conduct vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety standards. Repair and maintain mechanical systems including brakes, transmissions, steering, and suspension. Work on automotive electrical systems to troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults. Carry out welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications. Maintain equipment by performing preventive maintenance tasks regularly. Keep detailed records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies. Obtain EVT Certification annually by completing required training programs. Maintain a valid Class B CDL driver's license within one year of hire. Skills Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic with at least two years of automotive work and repair experience. Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components. Skilled in welding techniques relevant to vehicle repair. Ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues efficiently using diagnostic tools. Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and troubleshooting procedures. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Valid High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training in auto repair is preferred or considered with additional work experience. Valid SC Driver's License required; Class B CDL needed within one year of employment. Pay:

$23.50 - $28.85 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
