Job Description

Brown Fleet Services is hiring a Mobile Tractor Trailer Mechanic full time to cover our Lexington, South Carolina base areas.
  • Mobile Tractor Trailer Mechanic position is responsible for diagnosing and repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers under minimal supervision. Repairs will include Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs, air and hydraulic brake repairs, warranty procedures, driveline, steering & suspension, electrical trouble-shooting, AC and other duties as assigned.
  • Equipment is primarily Class 8 tractors and 53x102 dry van trailers Ability to work independently with little to no supervision. Strong computer skills, including the ability to: Read diagnostic codes and repair instructions Complete electronic repair documentation Manage daily work orders Process purchase order requests
  • 21 years of age or older, must be able to read codes and instructions on the computer and be able to document repairs on the computer
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, prefer a Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain one
  • 5 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including: PM's, air & hydraulic brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical
  • Ability to work flexible shift schedules & Saturdays if needed

  • up to $40 +/hr depending upon experience / qualifications
