Job Description
Shop Mechanic-Please call our office today for more information, 864-542-2484 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Shop Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical repair, must have at least 3 years of experience in servicing small engines, generators, and various types of equipment and 3 years of diesel mechanic experience. This role requires a commitment to providing excellent customer service while ensuring that all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Duties Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines, including lawn mowers, chainsaws, pressure washers, and other small equipment. Perform regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, spark plug inspections and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues. Assist with fleet vehicle maintenance and repairs as needed. Maintain records of services, repairs, and maintenance schedules. Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and landscape equipment Perform preventative maintenance and inspections Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues Maintain service records and repair documentation Ensure equipment is safe and ready for daily operations Assist with loading/unloading and occasional field service calls if needed Keep shop and work areas clean and organized Skills Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills. Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Experience working on diesel engines and mid-size equipment required Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and small engines preferred Ability to diagnose issues independently Valid driver's license required CDL is a plus, but not required Must be dependable, motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
