Job Description

We are a well-established construction company with a dedicated heavy equipment maintenance shop in the Columbus, TX area, specializing in oil and gas infrastructure projects. We're looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team and keep our large fleet of machines running reliably on job sites across Southeast Texas. About the
Role:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, skid steers, backhoes, and support vehicles. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, hydraulic system repairs, engine and transmission work, electrical diagnostics, and undercarriage repairs. Handle both shop repairs and mobile/field service on active construction sites. Work closely with operators and project teams to minimize downtime.
What We're Looking For:
3+ years of hands-on experience as a heavy equipment or diesel technician. Strong mechanical aptitude with Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, Volvo, or similar equipment. Proficient with diagnostic tools, welding/fabrication, and reading service manuals/schematics. Valid driver's license (CDL preferred). Safety-focused, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
