Job Description Follow all health, safely, and environmental requirements; Perform cleanup duties; Perform material handling and storage duties; Identify, use, and care of common hand and power tools; Use and care of craft specific tools and equipment; Knowledge and application of craft related mathematics; Knowledge and use of safety standards and best safety practices relevant to rigging, Inspection of rigging equipment and hardware; Knowledge and application of common hitches, Emergency stop signal, Basic crane hand signals, Knot tying (bowline & clove hitch), and use of rigging equipment relevant to craft specific tasks; Requires expeirence in full life cycle maintenance and repair of heavy civil construction equipment such as dozers, excavators, concrete and asphalt pavers, loaders, truck tractors, and other construction vehicles & equipment, as well as both light and heavy duty gasoline and diesel powered construction trucks/vehicles. ; Requires knowledge of and experience with construction equipment, performing diverse repair taks,to include repair and/or overhaul of engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, fuel, and brake systems, etc.; ASE Certifications are a plus. ; Experience in maintainging fleet vehicles and service trucks to include fuel/service/oil/lube trucks. ; Ability to diagnose and repair various types of equipment failures. ; Experience in operating various t ypes of construction equipement. ; Resolves and repairs equipment failures and mechanical issues as required/directed. ; Operates and safely uses diesel engines, hydraulics & pneumatic operating equipment. ; Two years verifiable experience is preferable for entry level position. ; Required valid Driver License; CDL Class A or B is preferred. ; May oversee repairs completed by other mechanics. ; Examine, troubleshoot, restore, and maintain heavy construction equipment, fleet light duty vehicles, and heavy trucks and trailers, maintain construction machinery, maintenance inspections, assemble/disassemble/reassemble mechanical components according to their respective specifications, and perform general repairs. ; All other duties as assigned.
