Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Forklift Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, including forklifts, construction machinery, and industrial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operational excellence. Duties Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on forklifts, cranes, excavators, tractors, and other heavy equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic issues. Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, air brakes, HVAC systems, and electrical systems using hand tools and power tools. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding techniques and schematics to ensure proper fit and function. Troubleshoot complex equipment problems by interpreting schematics and technical manuals; utilize automotive and electrical diagnostics tools. Service and repair farm machinery and construction equipment to maximize uptime; perform tire service, alignment checks, suspension repairs, and heavy lifting tasks safely. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Assist in the assembly or disassembly of machinery for repairs or upgrades; support heavy equipment operation when required with safety as a priority. Experience Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment maintenance in dealership or industrial settings. Strong background in construction machinery servicing including excavators, cranes, loaders, and bulldozers. Hands-on experience with diesel engine diagnostics and repair; familiarity with Caterpillar or similar OEM brands preferred. Skilled in electrical diagnostics for complex systems such as wiring harnesses, sensors, relays, and circuit boards. Knowledge of hydraulics systems including troubleshooting pumps, valves, hoses, and cylinders. Experience working with schematics for mechanical and electrical systems; ability to interpret technical manuals accurately. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment safely; familiarity with forklift operation is essential.
