About the Role We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our maintenance team, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the operational readiness of our industrial fleet. You will utilize your expertise in diesel engines and hydraulic systems to perform complex repairs, ultimately maximizing equipment uptime and site productivity. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy industrial machinery to ensure peak performance. Validate the integrity of mechanical systems post-repair by conducting rigorous performance testing against manufacturer benchmarks. Leverage advanced diagnostic software and instrumentation to interpret technical data and streamline work order execution. Maintain a culture of safety by strictly adhering to all site-specific protocols and industry-standard best practices. Perform precise metal cutting and demolition tasks using specialized torch equipment to support facility infrastructure needs. Collaborate with team members to resolve complex mechanical failures and improve overall equipment reliability. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of professional experience in heavy industrial maintenance and mobile equipment repair. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex hydraulic and mechanical systems. Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply technical schematics and blueprints. Valid driver's license and ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs. Current certification in mobile air conditioning systems (EPA Section 609) and diesel repair. Preferred Skills Specific technical experience or certifications related to Caterpillar or Kubota engine platforms. Prior success in high-pressure industrial environments requiring rapid troubleshooting. Strong mechanical aptitude as evidenced by standardized testing performance.
