Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Duty Differential Rebuilder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling heavy-duty differentials used in trucks, industrial equipment, and farm machinery. Your expertise will ensure that all components meet rigorous quality standards and are restored to optimal working condition. Duties Disassemble heavy-duty differentials using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques. Inspect internal components such as gears, bearings, shafts, and seals for wear or damage using schematics and diagnostic tools. Repair or replace damaged parts, including gears, axles, housings, and seals, following manufacturer specifications. Reassemble differentials with precision, ensuring proper alignment and torque settings for optimal performance. Conduct testing procedures on rebuilt units to verify functionality and durability before final delivery or installation. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and inspection results to ensure traceability and quality control. Qualifications Proven experience in heavy equipment mechanics or automotive repair with a focus on differentials or transmissions. Dealership experience preferred but not required; extensive hands-on mechanical knowledge is essential. Skilled in fabrication, welding, and the use of power tools for equipment repair and assembly tasks. Familiarity with schematics, hydraulic systems, suspension components, air brakes, and vehicle electrical systems. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or tractor-trailers safely and efficiently. Excellent mechanical aptitude combined with customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in various environmental conditions.
