How You Will Make an
Impact:
The Field Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery at customer locations or job sites. This role requires a strong mechanical background, the ability to diagnose complex issues, and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, manage time effectively, and ensure that all repairs are completed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site inspections, diagnostics, and repairs of various mechanical equipment, including trucks, heavy machinery, construction equipment, or agricultural vehicles. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues using diagnostic tools and technical Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, brake repairs, tire replacements, and engine Maintain a detailed record of all repairs and maintenance activities, including parts used, labor hours, and the condition of the equipment. Ensure all safety and environmental guidelines are followed while working on-site, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Respond to emergency repair requests and provide timely, efficient Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to ensure the smooth operation of equipment and minimal Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service vehicle with necessary tools and Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair status, explaining issues, and offering preventative maintenance advice.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; certification in diesel mechanics, automotive technology, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical repair and maintenance, preferably in a field service Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical components, hydraulic systems, and diagnostic Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, manage time effectively, and prioritize Strong problem-solving skills and attention to Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical Valid driver's license with a clean driving Ability to lift heavy objects, work in varying weather conditions, and travel to different job
