Installation Technician A Worldwide Equipment Sales | Illinois Experienced Technician? Build the Best Equipment in the Industry. Worldwide Equipment Sales (WWE) is seeking an experienced Installation Technician A to perform advanced installation, fabrication, diagnostics, repair, and customization of tow trucks, recovery equipment, transport trailers, and specialty systems. This role is designed for a highly skilled technician who can independently complete complex builds, troubleshoot equipment systems, and provide technical leadership within the shop. What You'll Do Perform complete installation and upfitting of tow trucks, wreckers, recovery equipment, and transport trailers Install and configure hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and structural systems Diagnose and repair complex hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues Conduct final inspections and testing before customer delivery Perform advanced welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications Inspect and repair Cottrell, Landoll, and other trailer systems Mentor and support less experienced technicians Promote quality workmanship, safety standards, and continuous improvement What We're Looking For Required Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record 5+ years of fabrication, equipment installation, diesel repair, heavy equipment repair, or related experience Strong hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and structural systems knowledge Advanced welding and fabrication experience Ability to independently complete equipment installations from start to finish Ability to provide and maintain a basic set of hand tools Preferred Experience with tow trucks, wreckers, recovery equipment, Cottrell trailers, Landoll trailers, or similar equipment CDL license ASE, welding, hydraulic, electrical, or other industry certifications Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays and more!
