Following the success of our Fort Worth location, Adcock Equipment USA is expanding to Spring, Texas. This will be our second Texas location, serving customers throughout the Greater Houston market. We're looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment / Aerial Lift Mechanic to join our team at the new location. This is a full-time position for someone who knows equipment, takes pride in their work, works well as part of a team, and wants to join a growing equipment dealership with long-term plans in Texas. We are an equipment sales and service dealership — we do not operate a rental fleet. What You'll Work On Our business is primarily focused on aerial work platforms and telehandlers, including: Boom lifts Scissor lifts Telehandlers Vertical mast lifts Other construction and material-handling equipment Experience with JLG, Genie, Skyjack, SkyTrak, MEC, Xtreme, Snorkel, JCB, Haulotte, or similar equipment is highly valued. Previous experience with an equipment dealership, rental company, manufacturer, or major equipment fleet is a strong asset. What You'll Do A major part of this role is making sure the new and used equipment we sell is properly inspected, serviced, prepared, and ready for our customers.
Responsibilities include:
Inspect, process, and evaluate incoming used equipment Identify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and other issues during used-equipment inspections Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems Perform PDI and setup on new equipment Complete manufacturer warranty work on new equipment Prepare new and used equipment for sale and customer delivery Perform required repairs and preventative maintenance Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems Repair and reseal hydraulic components as required Maintain accurate inspection, service, and repair records Work with our sales and operations team to prioritize equipment being prepared for sale Help load and unload equipment for incoming and outgoing shipments Wash and clean equipment as needed Help move, receive, inspect, prepare, and ship equipment as part of the team Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and yard We Work as a Team Our new Texas location will have a hands-on team environment. While your primary responsibility is mechanical work, we expect everyone to pitch in when needed. That might mean helping unload a truck, moving a machine in the yard, washing equipment before delivery, helping get an urgent sale ready, or lending a hand to another team member. We're looking for people with a team-first attitude who are willing to help wherever needed to get the job done. Primarily a Shop & Yard Position We are not currently operating a regular field-service program at the new location. This position is primarily facility-based, working on new and used equipment. Occasionally, we may ask you to help a customer in the field when they are in a jam, but routine field service is not a core responsibility of the position. What We're Looking For Previous heavy equipment, aerial equipment, forklift, or rental equipment experience Strong hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills Ability to properly inspect and evaluate used equipment Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems rather than simply replace parts Aerial work platform and telehandler experience strongly preferred Willingness to pitch in and work as part of a team Good communication and documentation skills Comfortable using computer-based diagnostic and service systems Ability to work independently and manage priorities Valid driver's license Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors and outdoors Compensation & Benefits $25-$40 per hour, depending on experience Guaranteed full-time hours Health, dental, and vision insurance options after the applicable probationary period Paid vacation and holidays Boot allowance Factory and manufacturer training opportunities Monday-Friday day shift No scheduled evenings or weekends Opportunity for advancement as our Texas operations continue to grow Why Join Adcock Equipment?
