Seasonal full-time only. Snowmaking can take place up to 24 hours a day and is attended by 2, 8-12 hour shifts. This job is an outside position working in the elements, working under dark, cold and adverse conditions. The snowmaking equipment uses compressed air and pressurized water, which must be handled with the utmost respect and caution. Work begins late November and typically runs through the beginning of January, but could run through February/March.

Level I Report to work on time with all necessary clothing and equipment Gun runs consisting of rotating guns, checking snow quality and clearing snow from around shelters. Setup, teardown, troubleshooting and mobilization of automatic, manual and fan guns. Monitor and operation of snowmaking equipment under the direction of a shift supervisor. Adhere to snowmaking plan. Perform work in a safe and efficient manner. Responsible for documenting and reporting any equipment and safety issues to shift supervisor Must wear required PPE including helmets, eye protection, and ear protection. Your own reliable transportation is a must, 4WD or snow tires recommended. Level II Able to fulfill all Snowmaker Level I duties as well as: Provide constant communication with all necessary departments Relocate snowmaking equipment to various locations on mountain as directed Solid understanding of hydrant locations and pump house functions Completed assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned Tech Able to fulfill all Snowmaker Level I and II duties as well as: Repair of snowmaking equipment including hoses, water hydrants, torches Diagnose, repair, and order parts for snowmaking guns, hoses, and hydrants. Electrical knowledge of power and wiring to all snowmaking equipment Maintenance of all snowmaking equipment Other duties as assigned Requirements and/or
Qualifications:
18 years or older Good physical health Ability to lift and maneuver at least 40 pounds Handle a constantly changing environment Valid driver's license required Reliable transportation with 4WD or snow tires Physical Requirements- Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to: Full range of body movements Reach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (40+lbs) Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and twisting Walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain Climb/descend stairs/ladders Manual dexterity to operate manual tools and power equipment on a constant basis Safely handle hazardous materials
Working Environment:
Snowmaking is an outdoor position where there will be many various conditions that you may experience during the season including high winds, rain, snow, ice, water, darkness, and extreme cold.
